There are reports that cosmetics subscription box company, Birchbox, is in talks with Walmart and other retailers regarding a possible sale:
“Birchbox, which has a subscription-based model, has raised more than $80 million from investors since it was founded in 2010, in addition to previously undisclosed venture debt that the startup secured in 2015, Recode reported.”
The sample box concept is a hot one right now. If Walmart does purchase this company, suppliers may have increased access to the Millennial and Gen Y demographics. How could you leverage this opportunity?
